VIBRANT VIEWS?: NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS?

Resolutions? yeah I make them every year but after last year's new year fiasco they all went to pot and 'don't be a pushover' went right out the window,...so once again I'm back with a few new monstrosities that I plan on welcoming into my life throughout 2013, if they happen 'chiiing' if they don't....well...um...meh?

New Tattoo's? -  Yep! after seeing my boyfriends recent ink's I have now decided to brave the needle and have my own inks done,so decided on a smallish swallow on the edge of my wrist and an imprinted garter around my thigh, At the moment I' seem to have a thing for sleeves....maybe in the future...

Hair - As the usual Willoo tradition, I plan on doing alot with my hair this year, I normally spend the winter season blonde however, due to circumstances within a previous relationship I hit a real low point and lost my self confidence....so black my hair went...2013 will consist of sorting my hair out, having it lightened and restored back to its original colour!

More bands? -  Yep! Im definitely hoping to attend more festivals/bands/gigs this year!,
Unfortunately I havent been able to listen to a few of my usual bands due to past experiences, myself and matt don't share many music tastes so 2013 will be spent introducing him to 'proper metal and rock'.

Beating anxiety/ doing more 'couple' things - In all honesty, this year has been utter hell concerning my anxiety condition, due to my loss of appetite and developing anaemia, I've avoided and probably missed out on alot of 'couple things' with matt because of lack of confidence, anxiety and sickness. With regret! this will soon be undergoing some changes!.

Colour - Looking through my wardrobe collection I've recently noticed my main man 'black' has played a huge role within my clothing, I'm hoping to slowly encourage more colour into my wardrobe and appearence,   especially in the pastie' area!.

Heels? - With a few special events coming up for 2013 I shall surely soon be investing in some worthwhile shoes to fit my little tootsies into!, in fact! at some point possibly a shopping spree to buy as many heels as the car will fit!, who knows, they may come in useful for some future acts!.

VIBRANT VIEWS: YANKEE SCENTED CANDLE IDEAS?

Halloo!
Just thought I'd drop by with a nifty little update of what's been happening during my run up to christmas!,
Having thoroughly spoilt Mr boyfriend, as well as friends and family this christmas I found myself a pondering along the aisles of my local candle shop breathing in the swift warming scents of 'yankee's'.

If your like me Yankee candles are my one weakness...I find it near enough impossible to leave a shop without one, the array of smells are so tempting as well as comforting, although fairly pricey, you can pick up yankee cakes at around £2, a fine concoction of scents which you can place into a lit oil burner a a whole, or if your the keen penny saver you can break them into 4 chunks and use each one sparingly!.
If like me your a fine keeper of yankee jars, when fully burned or used up, clean them out! they make fabulous storage jars for makeup, toiletries, jewellery boxes, and if your the budding burlesque dancer even  stockings, garters and nipple pasties!.

VIBRANT VIEWS: MAC glitter pallet!

Halloo!

So I  decided to treat myself to an early christmas present ( rather naughty I know!) a fair while ago, and as diamonds are a girl's best friend I chose to spend my earnings on a rather sparkly contraption I encountered tucked away on a shelf from jollies, in bath.

I don't often spend alot of money on makeup, but since I preferred to wear this on stage or at other events I concluded it would be a good buy. Anyway on with the deeets!

Mac for me is my favourite makeup brand, mainly because its a good consistent quality at a fair price. Afar from piling layers and layers of less expensive eyeshadows, you can pretty much get away with just 1 or 2 coats of this lovely stuff!, with a gorgeous, creamy consistency its easily blended and looks great on its own or blended with another colour, I found the problem with most other sparkle shadows was when applied, the colour would escape down onto my cheeks kinda tinkerbelles'que (get it?!? haha yeah..) but the jolly wonders at mac have given this a creamy texture so its not so easily transferred to your cheeks!

I really cannot fault this eyeshadow, for the price, its definately worth the money and if you're after that christmas class or pin-up sparkle I highly reccomend!

VIBRANT VIEWS: SHOWGIRL LIFE:RAINBOW GLITTER NAIL VARNISH?

Halloo!

Just thought I'd drop by and add sprinkle a little glitter across the page! I believe a cheeky new vibrant views' is required for this treasured little beauty!, So gok specs on? Hot chocolate at the ready? lets go..

As you can see from the pictures this pot of gluey goodness can be purchased from most highstreet drugstores at an array of different prices, ( Think I paid about £2.90 for mine!)
They are an absaloute barrgain! and last about a week before they begin to chip! Although the sad part of the story is that you do have to apply about 3-4 coats if your after that ' just put my hands up a fairies dress' look, it also gets quite a few compliments, and fantastically (every womans dream may I add!) goes with and jazzes up most outfits!.

So there we have it ladies and gentlemen! A bargaiin priced 'actually decent' nail varnish in a great colour that  lasts longer than most regular nail polishes. goes with almost any outfit and is a real complimenter!' - life sorted! :)

safe keepings! :) x

VIBRANT VIEWS: SHOWGIRL LIFE? : MISS FOOFOO VON LADY GARDEN'S FABULOUS FANCIES!

Hollaa folks!

Thought I'd drop by and chuck in a cheeky blog of one of my favourite websites for all season burlesque and pin-up accessories! As you can see from the rather bold' pictures some of these may not be for the faint hearted! However' I've been a regular customer for yonks' WEWWW!
I found this website on the hunch of browsing google whilst whithering away in extreme amounts of 'skint' thinking I'd have a little gander at this 'saving the pennies business' instead of feeling the guilt everytime I clicked on the 'proceed to checkout' button for some £32 flower necklace I'd insisted on buying, but since alternative/vintage and pin-up jewellery isn't hugely popular on the interweb' Miss foofoo von lady garden was created for us lovelies who like to look a li'l different now and then!.
Sporting the red bandana with my lovely kitty!

With free delivery around the UK and uber cheap prices its a website no Vintage loving woman can resist!, brooches, polka dot facinators, cherry hair bows and clips to nautical, sleepmasks, ponytail ties and a colourful array of bracelets it's almost every womans dream! ..

Now if only they had their own department store!....:)

JEFFERY CAMPBELL VS ALEXANDER MCQUEEN?

So after browsing Alexander Mcqueen's Spring Collection I couldn't help but peer over the slight resemblance of the jeffery campbells wedges in there, maybe a remake? surely not!, Alex Mcqueen has been regardly worldwide known for his unique rather creative shoe collection?....

Alex Mcqueen's posess a more feminine nature within the likes of pastels, whites, florals and on the rare occasion skulls and studds.

Maybe a sly steal figure from Mcqueen here?, this shape hit huge on the summer catwalk 2011-12, as wedges stepped into the limelight for the main season, the difference being Campbell offers a more individual styling to his collections, USA flags, studds, glitter, buckles, etc

Overall both being my top favourite designers I'll swear to love them no matter what collections they bring out!

VIBRANT VIEWS:AMERICAN APPAREL-WETLOOK LEGGINGS?

I recently purchased these wetlook leggings from the American Apparel site!
Since its nearly autumn the nights are starting to draw in and the temperatures decreasing I decided to make a secret shopping dash and came across these beauties!. So after a hasty delivery I couldnt wait to try them on and 'testwore' them on a shopping trip with the girls and an evening out with the boyfriend ..as you do!

Although with a hefty £36.00 pricetag American Apparel is currently flogging them at, the quality is moderately good however a little lacking in the material (a latex/polyester concoction!) and the stitchings are slightly off!. However, unexpectedly they kept my pin's as 'cozy as a cuppa' on a cold evening and are definately warmer than most jeans.. I wore mine with Jeffery Campbell heels,a baggy cardigan and a bandt'shirt - So comfy!.
Although you can get them in most highstreet stores such as primark, topshop and newlook if you'd rather save some pennies!
All in all they are sublimely comfy, (almost as comfy as pyjama's!) and jazz up most outfits - a worthwhile investment if you ask me! :)

Alexander Mcqueen Heel Collection

Have to throw in a bullet note for these beauties, being a ridiculous sucker for studded shoes, Alexander Mcqueen and Jeffery Campbell's I couldn't resist trying them on when one of the girls bought them in for dance practice!

At a 6inch heel their not only comfortable but extremely supportive, pleather with a studded forefront and goldplated metal zips, customised by Mcqueens Iconic skull symbol with a ribbed heelfront, and studbutton cuffs I shall definately be scouring the world wide web for these badboys as the start of the Winter Heel collection!
Alexander Mcqueen you brilliant man!

Mac Studio Fix Fluid :D

No need for concealer! :D
Thought I'd take a sly minute to update on this badboy, Being fairly pricey I 've only ever stuck to the eyeshadow collection and Lengthening Mascara, however after purchasing this I can honestly stick to my guns and confirm I shall be sticking to this beautiful potion!.

Considering most foundations from other brands are a similar price nowdays at £21.50 I found this to be a better quality foundation than most more expensive ones, although I think you'd need to wear it daily to get your full money's worth, its a thicker fluid than most but glides on lightly and gives a fuller looking coverage with anti shine if like me your prone to looking like you've just dipped your face in the sink!

As its a spf 15 you don't really have the extra franning about everymorning finding the sunscreen to wear underneath, although I wore the Matt finish moisturiser underneath, I also didn't feel the need to apply a concealer base since it took care of the imperfections whilst giving a rather cracking finish!

On conclusion its a rather splendid product if a little more pricey than most other brands, but i'll definately be buying again based on the sheer quality and impressive finish it provides! love this little beauty!

A day out! : Boardmasters and Bodmin :]

So I know I havent blogged in a while, being that I've been immensely busy with tour and other relevent shingles I thought I may take a wee second to update on the usual current state of life which recently has been pretty fabadillo if you ask me!

Apart from the obvious lack of summer this August, I took the time out to spend a day with my brother at the Newquay Boardmasters Festival, followed by a galivant around bodmin and the latter. For those who haven't been, Boardmasters is basically a beach festival consisting of Surfing,Skateboarding and Bmx and such, there's also a music festival and fairground which are both split into two, although probably not your cup of tea if your not keen on large crowds or boardsports.
This year thanks to promotions we were lucky enough to have a meet and greet with the Animal' Clothing brand's Professional Surfing team as well as the O'neil' brands. They're a real jolly bunch of people with the curly blonde locks and orange skin if you like that sort of chap!.

So after a cupplaa autographs and a starbucks pitstop, we galivanted down to bodmin, and had a diddle souvenior shop around the town centre, visited the famous jail 'a clink with a drink'  a tremendous amount of stairs, knooks and crankies and ended the day with lunch at Chapel an Gansblydhen a gorgeous converted chapel on the edge of town, which was quite ironic! :)

Rainy day's and cream tea's

Holla Willamino's!

As you may be aware I haven't blogged in what seem's like a decade, or probably is a decade...oops!. :3
Being away recently, I managed to fit in alot of thinking and planning, which can be quite a rarity in today's aspects, so one rainy summer's (a rather drab summer if you will!) day I decided I would no longer sit in a misery pit I would head down to the tearoom's and type up a little something.

However, being slapbang in the middle of a moor rather has its disadvantages, aside from lack of civilisation (although quite a plus for the anti social me!) and drab weather, until a fat raincloud obviously decided to offload itself within my location as I headed down towards the village, any normal person would run, alas not me, a 10 tonne handbag and laptop case isn't anyone's choice of avaliable running gear, so my morning's half acceptable appearance became a washed out mess upon entering the tearooms.
So consequently here I am...

Hope everyone's having a wonderful summer! Expect more from me soon! :)

Vibrant Views: The Bodyshop Strawberry Body Butter!

Holla Willomino's!

Just thought I'd scapple up a quick product review for you all before the Olympic opening ceremony starts ( Yes.even after ridiculous amout of advertising its had i'm still enthusiastic!).

Considering I didn't really have many plans for today I decided on a somewhat abrupt brainwave to head to my nearest Bodyshop store and have a little gander and at the new summer collections, needless to say i'm quite impressed!. The Bodyshop has always remained a firm favourite amongst my top 5 beauty stalls, and I've not once experienced a specific product that hasn't worked or caused any damage to my skin or body..I don't mean to say you should all rush off and clamber over each other to the nearest store expecting some sort of fantastic miracle product, I mean taking time to specifically observe the different products and reserving a moment to test or try each one carefully.

So whilst hovering about the shop I noticed a bunch of creamy coloured tubs stacked along a test counter, I tend to be attracted to things via pretty smells ( as any cosmetics loving girl would! ) and personally I found the Strawberry body butter to be the nicest... At £15.00 for a large tub its rather pricey to your average body butter, however there's a smaller 'handbag sized' tub avaliable for around £5.00.
Unlike other body butter' I've experienced I definately found this one to be of better quality and can be applied layer after layer without getting the sticking greasiness you can get with other butters..It's moisturising qualities are brilliant and leave your skin soft to touch, I can only fault the pricetag as being a little pricey however it's definately worth the money!.

If like me your looking for a decent smelling body butter for dry evenings I highly reccomend this type  ( what more can I say? it's great! ). I recieved a fair few compliments from people who liked it's smell , which lasts for around 4- 5 hours, it's a lovely thick textured butter at a great price and does a great job, I'll definately be piling in the tub's for more of this this summer for sure!

A day out in bath!

Holla Willamino's!,

Since we've had this somewhat 'exotic' british weather over the past few days, I consider myself slightly mad being sat at a laptop with a strawberry latte slugged next to me, as my life this week has been pretty eventful I' thought I'd provide you with a 'sneaky peek' of 'a day in my life ' ( Oh how fun for you!...) So if you' live elsewhere and have never been to Bath ( it's not literally a bath!) then read along for some cheeky insights of the city!.

Before I go off on an unexplainable rant about the 'historic city blah blah' I'll hasten to an abrupt start by sharing my day with you all, cuppa's at the ready?...Okay lets go...

I don't live too far from bath, and so my family and myself are quite the regulars, a fair amount of my family history orginated from bath but its a really vibrant city today, although still providing enough history to somewhat other cities. Anyway with enthusiam 'on with the show!'...

After arriving we hastenly piled out of the car after much faffing about like an over enthusiastic bunch of tourists  and headed in a line towards a small alley lined with a variety of old fronted shops/coffee bars and businesses along either side..although small and bustling with people there's still more than enough room to move around, it still gives a hinted reminder of 'diagon alley' from Harry Potter.(Wahooo for Hogwarts!)
Many of the shops can be quite expensive although after about an hour of looking around sweltering non-air conditioned shops and dribbling over cake windows we came across a jewellers ( a very overpriced one) and found one of the necklaces to be exactly the same as my grandmas .
£2250..Irony for expensive tastes eh? ;]

Anyway...enough of my droning on do I hear you say? and on with the pictures? ..righto then!.
The bustling square of Bath Cathedral ,lined with bars, giftshops and cafes.

On one of the sidestreet's leading to Bath Cathedral and also Bath spa ..luxurious ay!
The Roman Baths and Pumproom resteraunt!
Waistcoated waitor's AND suited classical musicians -time change?
A very pricey looking focal chandelier in the pump room resteraunt!
Tea and a slice of chocolate cake with views over the old roman baths!
The roman baths!
taking in the fabulous views!
Anyone fancy a quick dip? -Bath Spa
A variety of historical landmarks and shops to visit!
Yummy!
The Circus , I always feel an urge to burst into a catch oliver song driving around here..
Those who know me personally may recognise my familiarity with this place!
Saving the best until last - The Royal Cresant - Britain's answer to millionaires row ;)

After a long day we then surely hastened home and proceeded to chatter about and document our day, if you havent been and like myself love historical cities I highly reccomend a visit! One of my favourite places!
